Next season, the Harbaugh brothers will face off once more.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN and other sources, Jim Harbaugh has accepted the position of head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Jim’s final NFL head coaching tenure was with the San Fracisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, during which time he compiled a 49-22-1 NFL coaching record. Both of their head-to-head meetings, which took place during Thanksgiving in 2011 and Super Bowl XLVII, were won by John and the Ravens.

Jim later moved to Michigan in 2015, where he helped to transform that illustrious program into this season’s national winners. John took a plane to Houston to witness the Wolverines defeat Washington in the national championship game and take part in the festivities.

The brothers will soon face off against one another now that they are back in the NFL. Next season, SoFi Stadium will host a game between the Chargers and Ravens.

“[Jim’s team] will eventually be on the schedule. Undoubtedly, John stated the previous week. “He’s a fantastic coach, so those are always hard games.” His squads are constantly prepared to go. They are invariably. Always well-coached, they are. Fundamentally, they are always sound. They play with such intensity every time. They are emotionally linked at all times. He’s the best football coach, in my opinion. He’s an excellent coach.

This season, the Ravens defeated the Chargers 20-10 at SoFi Stadium. The fight will be even fiercer the next year.

John responded, “That’s a fair question,” when asked if their football chats would need to alter if they were placed in the same conference. To your point, you would play more frequently. If they’re scheduled soon, that might slightly alter the conversations.”

John’s immediate goal is to win his own championship this year. Jim attended the Saturday game, where the Ravens defeated the Texans in the divisional playoffs, while sporting a Ravens hat.
