Good news for Washington Commanders: he is back

Jahan Dotson, a second-year receiver with the Washington Commanders, has improved his effectiveness after experiencing early season troubles.

Jahan Dotson, a Washington Commanders receiver, is on track to hit some important career milestones, including breaking the 1,000-yard receiving mark during the previous two weeks.

Unfortunately, the Commanders receiver has already established a career high in dropped passes, which he has been working on as quarterback Sam Howell and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy have remained confident in him.

“Whenever I’m kind of going through tough times or when things feel off I go back to when I was having success and really hone in on details I was doing to make sure I have that success,” Dotson went on to say. “I was reviewing college footage and remembering some of the amazing plays I had, the various routes I was running, and the creativity I was utilizing simply to get open. Then return to everyday activities, getting on the jugs (machine) every day. “Simple things.”

Despite some of his troubles, Howell ensured Dotson had five or more targets in five of Washington’s previous six games, leading to improved play and 12 catches for 17 yards and two touchdowns in the last two weeks.

“For sure, definitely felt good to get back to doing what I know I can do, and that’s (making) plays for this team,” Dotson said of his recent efforts. “When I make plays, I believe our team has a better chance of winning football games.” To be honest, just coming back to support the squad in any way I can has been extremely beneficial.”

Despite everything Dotson and his team have been through, and despite their losing record as we enter mid-November football, Washington is currently ranked ninth in the NFC Playoffs.

A win over the Seattle Seahawks (5-3) in Week 10 puts the Commanders on a much better platform, and Dotson’s continued great play could be the key.
