DALLAS: A 62-year-old man was killed in the Red Bird neighborhood of the city, and Dallas police are searching for information.

The circumstances surrounding the murder, particularly the manner of his death, are mostly unknown.

According to police, they discovered the man laying on the ground on Cleardale Drive after responding to a complaint on Sunday, May 21. His wounds caused his death.

Darcy Ollie recalls Robert Curtis Dunmeyer, her 62-year-old uncle.

“He enjoyed having fun. He was a big joker,” she remarked.

All Ollie has left are memories at this point.

“As his niece, he cherished me. Exactly.”

Ollie reports that on Sunday, Dunmeyer was discovered deceased inside the house on Cleardale Drive in the Red Bird neighborhood of Dallas. According to police, his body was discovered about 2:45 p.m.

According to a neighbor, Dunmeyer appeared to have been struck in the head by something. Although the police would not confirm it, they did inform us that the manner in which Dunmeyer was slain is being looked at.

“We’re depending on the detectives to give us the right answers and find that killer,” Ollie stated.

Ollie says she was raised in South Carolina by her Uncle Curt, as she called him. Since2016, he has made Dallas his home. Ollie claims that their family is large. The majority still call South Carolina home.

She said to FOX 4. Three siblings, two sons, and a few nieces and nephews are among the people Dunmeyer leaves behind.

“I find it hard to comprehend how someone could be so cruel. It was inhumane,” she remarked.

Little information has been released by the police regarding the inquiry, such as if more than one suspect is being sought, whether Dunmeyer was slain by a stranger or a person he knew, or what could have been the motive.

Ollie claims that the family is unaware of any potential thefts from Dunmeyer’s home. All she needs is clarification.

“He didn’t deserve to die the way that he did,” she continued. “Please, somebody come forward.”
