Chris Partridge, linebackers coach of the University of Michigan, has been fired.
(CBS Detroit) – Chris Partridge, the University of Michigan’s linebackers coach, has been sacked.
The judgment came one day after coach Jim Harbaugh agreed to a three-game punishment and the institution withdrew its lawsuit against the Big Ten Conference.
Rick Minter was promoted as the team’s linebackers coach.
Michigan hired Partridge as director of player personnel in 2015, and he stayed with the Wolverines until 2019, when he moved for Ole Miss in January 2020. Partridge returned to Ann Arbor this season.

Last Monday, the Big Ten suspended Harbaugh for the final three regular-season games due to a sign-stealing probe. Harbaugh is allowed to attend practices and other football team events during the week, but he is not permitted to be on the sidelines on game days.
