According to sources, Doyle has re-signed with the Tasmanian JackJumpers.

According to ESPN, Milton Doyle has signed a two-year deal to return to the Tasmania JackJumpers.

Doyle will return to the JackJumpers following a spectacular 2022-23 NBL season in which he led the team to the semi-finals and was chosen to the All-NBL First Team.

According to insiders, the JackJumpers have been in contact with Doyle and his reps since the end of the previous NBL season.

Doyle’s season with Turkey’s Tofaş ended in early June, and an agreement was reached for the Chicago native to return to Tasmania for at least the 2023-24 NBL season.

Doyle, a 6’4 shooting guard, averaged 17.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.7 assists during the 2022-23 NBL season, helping the JackJumpers to a 16-12 record and a berth in the semi-finals. The JackJumpers went on to lose three games to the New Zealand Breakers.

Doyle joins Will Magnay, Jack McVeigh, Anthony Drmic, Clint Steindl, Junior Madut, Jarred Bairstow, and Fabian Krslovic on the JackJumpers’ roster for the 2017 season. Sean Macdonald, Walter Brown, Josh Tomasi, and Tre Armstrong have signed as development players.

Round 15 may be the final round of the regular season, but it could also be the most critical for six clubs.

The Townsville Fire may have advanced to the finals, but their position on the ladder remains uncertain. The Southside Flyers may have the advantage as they sit second, but their position is not guaranteed. The Bendigo Spirit, Sydney Flames, and Melbourne Boomers all have 11 wins, thus losing is not an option.
2022/23 NBL season preview - Tasmania JackJumpers - Basketball Rookie Me CentralThe Perth Lynx are making a comeback now that Aari McDonald has returned, but they still have only 10 wins. These six teams face a do-or-die situation.

On the other hand, both the Adelaide Lightning and the UC Capitals face no sanctions because they are out of the playoffs but have the ability to shake up the competition, and you can guarantee they will want to end their seasons on a high note with one final victory.

Bendigo is on a roll and has no plans to stop anytime soon. They have risen to third place on the ladder, but they are far from safe and cannot slack down now. The Perth Lynx have welcomed back Aari McDonald with wide arms, as they sit sixth on the ladder, and they will need to give this game everything they have if they want to make it into the Top 4.

The Sydney Flames dropped a close game last week, leaving them in a difficult situation. Playing the top team in their final regular-season game will be the actual test leading up to the playoffs, but they are more than capable of achieving so. The Townsville Fire have been inconsistent in their recent games, which the Flames should take advantage of. Lauren Nicholson’s performance versus her old team will be crucial in determining whether they can complete the task. She is a recognized scorer who can take the game into her own hands and make some big shots, which is why she is an MVP candidate. A huge reason.

In this matchup, a young star faces up against a veteran. Sami Whitcomb can make some fantastic shots for herself, and since she attracts so much attention, she is also capable of handing assists. Nyadiew Puoch is incredibly agile and has outstanding length, making her a formidable matchup for Whitcomb due to her excellent shot blocking ability. Whitcomb has tremendous footspeed, but Puoch’s length and athleticism will allow her to cover the three-point line while also staying with Whitcomb on drives. Shutting her down will benefit her Southside Flyers squad, but Puoch must also contribute on the attacking end, rushing in transition, crashing boards, and having trust in her shooting.
