That indicates that their stationery’s ink hasn’t yet dried. Perhaps it explains why their game times and dates haven’t been announced yet. All we know is that the UFL will start play sometime in March.
The Birmingham Stallions, Houston Roughnecks, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers are among the USFL clubs that play in the UFL. The Arlington Renegades, DC Defenders, San Antonio Brahmas, and St. Louis Battlehawks are among the XFL teams. They combine to form the new league.
Who are the UFL’s former Huskers? Hold on. I’m making progress.
Among the notable coaches in the UFL is Skip Holtz, the head coach of Birmingham and Lou’s son. The Arlington Renegades will be coached by the former head coach of Oklahoma, Bob Stoops. Chuck Long, the former quarterback for Iowa, will be his co-OC. Marvin Sanders, a former Husker player and assistant, will instruct his wide receivers.
San Antonio will be coached by former NFL head coach Wade Phillips (Denver, Buffalo, and Dallas).

Sadly, that’s all there is to it for Husker football fans. There are plenty of former Huksers to root for this spring.
One thing I really enjoy about the new league is that, in contrast to the USFL, where nearly every game was held in Birmingham, Alabama, UFL games will all take place at the teams’ home stadiums.
The Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas, holds 25,000 spectators, whereas The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis can hold 67,277.
For most Husker fans, watching Adrian Martinez play football once more should be enough to get them excited about the games.
