Barry Soskin, the former owner of the Danville Dashers, claims to have already submitted a plan to reinstate professional hockey in Danville for the 2024–25 season.
Terri Gaffney, the general manager of David S. Palmer Arena, informed us a few days ago that requests for proposals (RFPs) were made to a number of midwestern hockey leagues, including the Federal Prospects Hockey League, which Soskin plays in on behalf of five different clubs.
Soskin claims that although he had earlier put in a bid to bring the Dashers back, he had requested a longer lease than the two years that the Arena Board was requesting. This time, Soskin adds, he hopes his longer idea is fruitful.
Proposals can be submitted to the Arena Board until October 23rd, and they will be discussed at the October 25th meeting.
