Pensacola Ice Flyers bring back Gary Graham as head coach

Graham exclaimed, “I am so happy to be back in Pensacola.” “I intend to carry on the wonderful heritage of Ice Flyer Nation by fielding a championship-caliber squad that is entertaining.

I want respectable professionals to wear our team colors and shield. They will provide value to the Pensacola community, be difficult to play against, and be entertaining to watch every night.

It all comes down to, in my opinion, his familiarity with the game, his coaching success both at our level and at the next one up, and his understanding of the players, agents, and coaches.

Additionally, and this is really important to me, he knows what our mission is. It’s wonderful to reflect on our accomplishments.

Additionally, he is a good fit for our continued success here, and that was stated by Harris.

Harris notices that Gary Graham isn’t the same person he knew ten years ago. However, he claims that the eager coach and recruiter he knew back then is returning, although with more life experience.

However, following his ECHL triumph in 64 percent of his games, Harris had to understand Graham’s motivations for wanting to go back to Pensacola and the SPHL.

“He was quite happy with how things transpired here. He was overjoyed with the events that transpired and our growth.

He has been in weekly contact with Rod for the past ten years. They’ve also grown to be close pals. Thus, Harris remarked, “I wouldn’t go anywhere else but Pensacola.”

In order to take on the role of head coach of the ECHL Fort Wayne Komets, Graham traveled back to his hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana, in the summer of 2013.

Most recently, he was the head coach of the Nottingham Panthers of the English EIHL and the Omaha Lancers of the USHL.

“Over the past ten years, I have closely followed the team,” Graham remarked. “I have spoken with Rod many times a week and will continue to do so; we have grown close.

” Seeing what Greg, Rod, and the Ice Flyers have accomplished has been thrilling.
