Damian Lillard and Cam Payne are expected to be back for the game vs. the Boston Celtics - Sports Illustrated Milwaukee Bucks News, Analysis and More

It looks like Damian Lillard will be back in time for the Milwaukee Bucks’ highly anticipated matchup with the Boston Celtics on Thursday.

The seven-time All-Star missed Milwaukee’s most recent game, a 132-116 loss to the Utah Jazz, due to personal matters.

The Bucks, who have dropped their previous five games to a record of 1-4, are thrilled to have him back.

cheerful and upbeat
The veteran guard moved around effectively, according to Milwaukee coach Adrian Griffin, and he will play on Thursday when the Bucks meet the top club in the Eastern Conference.

“Dame returned, cheerful, and ready to work out…Griffin stated, “He’ll be available (tomorrow).”

The 11-year veteran, who averages 25.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.9 assists, is a major factor in the Bucks becoming one of the NBA’s highest scoring teams.

Nevertheless, Lillard has had difficulty being effective on the court as evidenced by his 42 percent field goal percentage, which includes 35 percent from beyond the arc.

It’s likely that Bucks backup guard Cam Payne will play.
In addition, Cam Payne, the player who supports Lillard, is anticipated to play against the Celtics despite being added to the league’s concussion protocol.

Despite averaging just 6.1 points per game, the left-handed guard is an invaluable member of the Bucks’ second unit because of his quickness and ability to create off the dribble.

“Cam worked out today as well. Griffin continued, “We’ll see how he feels in the morning.
