Breaking: Zalance Heard Officially Announces Tennessee Transfer.
The Tennessee Volunteers received some very exciting news on Sunday morning. LSU offensive tackle Zalance Heard had been leaning toward Tennessee for a while, but he appeared in the student directory over the weekend, ahead of the start of school on Tuesday.
On Sunday morning, he made it public on social media. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Heard is the No. 15 talent in the 2023 recruiting class. He appeared in twelve games this season and will have three years of eligibility remaining. Many expect Heard to be the Vols’ starting left tackle next season.
Tennessee football’s offseason has beginning. The Vols have completed their season and are now focused on roster construction for 2023. If athletes do not transfer within that time frame, they will have to wait until May, after spring practice, to access the transfer portal.
