Josh Jacobs is no longer associated with the Raiders in Las Vegas.

The famous running back and the Green Bay Packers have reportedly agreed to terms on a contract, according to NFL Media.

Even though Tom Telesco, the new general manager of Las Vegas, stated during the recent NFL Combine that the team would “explore pretty hard” to acquire a contract extension with Jacobs, the development is not too shocking.

The general manager stated that it was critical to retain Jacobs as a member of the team that selected him with the No. 24 overall choice in the 2019 draft out of Alabama because “he is a Raider.” Telesco complimented Jacobs’ significance to the squad in both the running and passing game.

However, the Raiders ultimately decided that Jacobs’ price was too high.

Jacobs, 26, received the franchise tag from the Raiders last season following a 2022 campaign in which he set a league record with 1,653 running yards. Jacobs resisted until August, at which point a new one-year contract was reached.
