Coming to UK Best Decision Transfer WR Raymond Cottrell has Ever Made | Your Sports Edge 2021

With the college football transfer portal reopening, the Kentucky Wildcats are going to suffer some losses in the coming weeks.

One of them will be wide receiver Raymond Cottrell.

Per 247 Sports’ Matt Zenitz, Cottrell is going into the portal after spending just four months with the program after transferring in from Texas A&M.

A 6-foot-3 and 215-pound wideout from Milton (FL), Cottrell joined the Cats in January after leaving College Station following the firing of Jimbo Fisher.

He played in just three games in the 2023 season and was eligible for a redshirt, giving him four years of eligibility remaining at his next school.

He caught just one pass on the year, which was a 13-yard touchdown.

As a high school recruit, Cottrell was a 4-star prospect and a top-250 player in the class of 2023. He was actually committed to Georgia before flipping to the Aggies.

Best of luck to Cottrell as he looks for his next home!
