In the Memphis-Tulane game on Friday night, there was a lot of tension that led to a Tiger hitting a Green Wave player in a place where no man wants to be hit.
Andres Fox, a defensive lineman for Memphis, was sent off after hitting Josh Remetich in the crotch.
With less than ten minutes remaining in the game, Memphis was behind by ten points when the low blow occurred. Following an incomplete second and nine, Fox seemed to hit the offensive lineman in the tender place.
The Green Wave were awarded a free first down after Fox was called for a personal foul and immediately dismissed from the game.

Memphis eventually lost that drive 31–21, but the penalty didn’t affect them much because Tulane punted later that drive. The Tigers couldn’t score.
For the Green Wave, Michael Pratt completed 19 of 31 passes for 259 yards, scoring one touchdown by throwing and another through rushing. Chris Brazzell II had three receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown, while Makhi Hughes rushed 26 times for 130 yards and one touchdown.
Memphis is currently 4-2 and has lost its first game in the conference, while the Green Wave have moved to 5-1 on the year and 2-0 in the AAC.
Fox’s head coach, could justify his shot, calling it a “BS move.”
That is unacceptable. After the game, Silverfield told reporters, “That is not us.” “I’m incredibly upset in the person who committed the act. He’ll be treated properly, I promise. I apologize to Tulane for that foolish action.
