Cleary is suspended for dangerous throw.

Nathan Cleary, the Panthers’ halfback, pleaded guilty early to a grade three dangerous throw charge.

Cleary will miss five NRL matches, knocking him out for the rest of the regular season; however, he will be eligible to return in Week 1 of the NRL Finals Series.

The representative halfback was sent out for a risky pass on Eels five-eighth Dylan Brown in the Round 20 match at CommBank Stadium on Friday night.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary will announce the halfback’s replacement on Tuesday afternoon.
