During joint practices with the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, one of the Denver Broncos’ offensive cornerstones was taken off the field. Jerry Jeudy, a wide receiver, took an end-around and then grabbed his upper leg. He was clearly unhappy and had difficulty getting onto the trolley. Before he was led inside, his colleagues approached him to offer their best wishes.

Head coach Sean Payton informed the media during practice that Jeudy had a hamstring issue and would get an MRI to find out how serious it is. According to NFL Media, Jeudy is currently anticipated to miss a few weeks due to a moderate hamstring strain. That apparently casts doubt on his availability for Week 1, although there is hope that the Denver pass catcher’s problem is short-term.

After playing in 15 games, Jeudy caught 67 passes for 972 yards and six touchdowns, marking his best-ever season. In Week 10, he had an ankle injury that kept him out of action for nearly three weeks.
