In a game that was terrible for their offensive, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell short against the Detroit Lions, who are currently 5-1.

Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield was reportedly battling with a left hand injury, which only made matters worse.

By far his worst performance of the season, he finished 19/37 with 205 yards and an interception in the game.

While it was not his throwing hand, that kind of injury complicates the down-to-down operations of being a quarterback like snapping and handing the ball off.

Mayfield confirmed to the media after the loss on Sunday that he did have an x-ray on his hand and it came back negative.

During Wednesday’s practice, he came out for warmups and had his left hand and wrist wrapped up, but appeared to move fine. At the end of warmups, he even threw one of his snaps with his left hand.
