Completed deal: The young utility player from has been signed by the Penrith Panthers.

Penrith have signed utility playmaker Jaeman Salmon on a one-year deal after he left western Sydney rival Parramatta.

Salmon, 21, is a lively ball-player who will add depth in Penrith’s halves and centres. Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai are the club’s first-choice playmakers, while young star Matt Burton has been signed by the Bulldogs from 2022 onwards but is so far remaining put for 2021.

Despite his high esteem for talent, Salmon was not selected for the Eels previous season, even though Jai Field was preferred over Mitchell Moses at halfback. In 2020, Will Smith, another Eels utility back, saw action while Salmon was down.

After making his NRL debut in 2018, Salmon only appeared in 17 games for Parramatta, where his three-year deal just ended.

According to a statement from Matt Cameron, general manager of rugby league for the Panthers, Jakeman is a young and gifted football player whose career was essentially placed on hold last season.

“He seeks a new beginning and the chance to work toward reaching his full potential when he joins our club.

“Jaeman can play multiple positions, which gives our squad great depth going into 2021.”[Images] 27 Uncomfortable Pictures You Won’t Easily Forget27 Uncomfortable Pictures You Won’t Easily ForgetADVERTISED | The Super Mom[Photo Gallery] Pictures Of Cheering Girls That Will Astound You: Only Adult Audiences Should See These Unsuitable Cheerleader PicturesENDORSED | Compiling Reports[Images] 18+ Pictures Of Teachers Clearly Not Thinking18+ Pictures Of Teachers Clearly Not ThinkingENDORSED | Banking Nancy

“I’m thrilled to be a part of such a strong squad and can’t wait to rip in,” Salmon stated.

There are many people here, from Ivan (Cleary) to the players, from whom I can continue to learn and improve my game.

“My main goal is to train as hard as I can so that I’ll be prepared for any role they need me to play.”
