Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson will not face a suspension from the NFL for his hit on Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas.
The first to report that Jackson would probably escape a penalty was Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.After striking Thomas high on his four-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter, Jackson was dismissed from his team’s 35-33 defeat. The Commanders announced that their starting tight end had undergone a concussion evaluation and would be out for the rest of the game.
Some believed that Jackson’s contact on Thomas went too far.
It didn’t help that the 35-year-old was fined $14,819 by the NFL for a hit that caused wide receiver Jakobi Meyers of the Las Vegas Raiders to suffer a concussion. Even though he escaped suspension, following Sunday his pocketbook will probably be a little empty once more. According to Pelissero, the hit would “be reviewed under the standard process for a possible fine.”

Although it looks like Jackson will play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3, the Broncos have already suffered a little bit because of his absence against Washington in the second half.
After the break, the Commanders scored 21 points to overcome a 21-14 deficit. Sam Howell completed 27 of 39 passes for 299 yards and two scores.
Denver’s defense will be required to do more.
