Nebraska running back set to return in 2024.
A Nebraska running back has stated that he will return for his senior year. Rahmir Johnson will be in uniform for the 2024 season.
Johnson’s 2023 season was cut short after dislocating his hip during Nebraska’s 35-11 victory over Northern Illinois. He only had 12 carries this year for 65 yards, with a long of 44 yards.
His greatest season came in 2021, when he rushed for 495 yards on 112 carries and four touchdowns. The Huskers did not have a single player gain more than 500 rushing yards this season.
Heinrich Haaarberg led the way with 477 yards, followed by Anthony Grant (413 rushing yards) and Emmett Johnson (411). This will clearly be fantastic news for the Huskers in 2024, as the team appears to have early depth in the running back area.
