He was fourth in the Baltimore Ravens’ 10-9 win over the Denver Broncos when he left the game early with a knee injury.
The sixth-year quarterback missed the final five games of the season for the second year in a row.
The offseason was filled with a lot of question marks and speculation.
Jackson and the Ravens made headlines for much of the spring, from issuing franchise designations to requesting a trade, before agreeing to a record-breaking five-year, $260 million contract on May 4.
Now the question is how he will operate in the new offense under first-year Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
“It feels great,” Jackson said of his role in Monken’s offense.
“His explosiveness, getting the ball out of his hands faster and leading guys, I can’t wait to see that.
” Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said how important the relationship between Jackson and Monken is.
He pointed out that Responsible for the team’s success and how close they got in the offseason.
With the new offense, Harbaugh also noted that Baltimore will likely throw the ball more.

Jackson had his best performance in Week 1 since becoming Baltimore’s starting quarterback at the end of 2018.

With a new secondary contract, a new offense and new weapons, Jackson will look to continue his impressive performance in the Ravens’ season opener.
