Syracuse meets Louisville, aims to get back into win column

In their most recent game, Louisville emerged victorious, and Syracuse would love to do the same when the Orange play the Cardinals on Wednesday night in an Atlantic Coast Conference encounter. The Cardinals (7-15, 2-9 ACC) are having yet another challenging season. Prior to their victory over Florida State on Saturday, they had lost six straight games. In the 101-92 triumph, Ty-Laur Johnson finished with 27 points and 11 assists, while Brandon Huntley-Hatfield scored a career-high 29 points for Louisville.

Coach Kenny Payne of Louisville stated, “I believe in my team.” “However, in order to improve, we must gain experience and keep learning. That’s the reason you keep trying guys. Tonight, we defeated a really strong team.”

The Syracuse coach Adrian Autry wasn’t feeling very well on Saturday following his team’s crushing defeat against Wake Forest, 99–70. Losing for the third consecutive game, the Orange (14-8, 5-6) gave up 66 percent of the field goal percentage and 12 of 19 3-pointers to the Demon Deacons. “I’d like to apologize to our fans, our university, for that performance,” Autry stated. “That cannot be tolerated. Not to be allowed. Not permitted. won’t consent to it.” The Orange have given up 80 points or more in their last two games after allowing their opponents to shoot at least 60 percent from the field in each of those two games.
