With more than 100 players now available to negotiate and sign with rival teams starting on November 1st, the NRL contract season is officially underway.
After Ezra Mam re-signed with Brisbane and Jarome Luai eventually disclosed his next move, Joey Manu currently leads the list of gifted free agents.

Ben Trbojevic extends his Manly contract
Ben Trbojevic, a talented backrower, has signed a three-year contract extension with Manly to keep him with the Sea Eagles through at least the conclusion of the 2027 campaign.
“By extending Ben out for a further three years, it means we have got guys like him, Tolu Koula, Haumole Olakauátu, Taniela Paseka, Josh Schuster, as well as Jake and Tom Trbojevic, all here for the next period of time,” Anthony Seibold, our head coach, stated.
“We feel like we have got the squad in good shape.”

Billy Smith rejoins the Roosters as a member.
After having his finest season since entering the NRL in 2019, Billy Smith signed a three-year contract extension.
“He is Eastern Suburbs through and through, and no one can ever question his dedication to the team, or his resilience, so it’s great to have Billy locked in for another three years,” Trent Robinson, the head coach, said.
“This extension is testament to the hard work Billy puts in every day.”

Christian Tuipulotu was released by Manly and inked a two-year contract with the Dragons.
“Christian is a big body who can add some strike out of the backfield and will be a valuable addition to the club,” stated Shane Flanagan.
“We have some good outside backs coming through at the Dragons but having lost Corey Allan for the season it was important for us to add some NRL experience to the backline for this year.”
Ezra Mam re-signs on a massive contract with the Brisbane Broncos
Ezra Mam signed a five-year contract to stay with the Broncos, putting an end to months’ worth of rumors over his future.
“It’s fantastic that Ezra is remaining where he belongs—he is a born and raised Bronco,” Brisbane head coach Kevin Walters said in a statement.
“He is an exciting player Rabbitoh’s extension is inked by Peter Mamouzelos.
Peter Mamouzelos has signed a three-year contract extension with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, securing his long-term replacement for Damien Cook.
The agreement will keep the hooker in Redfern till the end of the 2027 season, at the latest.but he also likes to get in there and do the tough stuff and to do what needs to be done for his team.”
