The San Antonio Spurs have just 48 hours left until the NBA Trade Deadline, so now is the perfect opportunity to upgrade at point guard.

Future Hall of Famer Chris Paul, who has struggled to make much of an impact in his debut season with Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, is one of the point guards that could be traded.

Although Paul had been looking for a title with the Warriors, their current course has them skipping the postseason entirely, therefore CP3’s and Golden State’s objectives may be shifting.

Paul would want to consider joining a youthful team like the Spurs in order to further his career. In addition to receiving compensation, he might be granted official playing time and the chance to coach Victor Wembanyama, the first overall pick.

According to Bleacher Report, Paul might be the Spurs’ last-minute trade target.

Could San Antonio deal its rookie, Chris Paul, 38, who is out right now due to a left hand injury? Maybe by securing his pay for the upcoming year? Could the Spurs persuade the Golden State Warriors to let go of him as well?,” Bleacher Report speculates. “By giving Devonte’ Graham and Doug McDermott an offer, the Dubs avoid paying a ton of luxury taxes.

Do they nibble when there is light draft compensation on top? What if they also helped Golden State save a ton of money by forcing Graham into the Washington Wizards’ $12.4 million traded player exception? Or are the Dubs intent on putting his pay to better use than just as a tax haven?”
