After sustaining a knee injury against the Bulldogs last weekend, Panthers prop Spencer Leniu has been ruled out for the next month. Leniu, who is headed to the Roosters, may not be able to play until the finals. At the very least, Leniu will miss games against the Sharks, Sea Eagles, Titans, and Eels. The Sharks have suffered a devastating blow as their season is over due to the surgery that Leniu underwent on Tuesday.
After sustaining a biceps injury in Round 22, Sharks veteran Dale Finucane was left off of Tuesday’s team lists. It has subsequently been disclosed that Finucane would not play this season.
A club statement states that Finucane had surgery on Tuesday to fix the issue.
The injuries to Nelson Asofa-Solomona and Reimis Smith have dealt the Storm a heavy blow.
After dislocating his finger, Asofa-Solomona underwent surgery on Monday. He will miss the Round 22 before having his condition evaluated again the following week. Smith could miss three weeks of work due to an adductor strain.

The Roosters are hoping to maintain their late charge into the finals, and they have encouraging news regarding half of Sam Walker’s availability.
Braith Anasta remarked on NRL 360, “Sam Walker has been cleared to play, expected to be back in a fortnight.”
After sustaining a knee injury while playing NSW Cup, Walker was reportedly taken up to Townsville to visit a specialist, according to the SMH. He passed all of the knee exams that he had to undergo.
Walker’s return to reserve grade is scheduled for Round 23, and the Roosters have announced that he has received medical approval to play. The following week, Walker may be called back to the NRL squad.
Of course, previously in the season, Walker was controversially cut from the Roosters first grade squad.
Jeremiah Nanai, the injured forward, could miss the rest of the regular season, according to awful news the Cowboys have received.
During Saturday night’s victory over the Eels, Nanai suffered a shoulder injury; the Cowboys confirmed the worst on Monday.
“North Queensland Toyota Cowboys second-rower Jeremiah Nanai suffered a high-grade AC joint injury in Saturday’s victory over the Parramatta Eels,” a club-issued statement said.
