Browns Make Major Announcement Following Win
The Pittsburgh Steelers’ AFC North foe has picked a new starting quarterback.

Pittsburgh — Following a decisive victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ AFC North rivals have picked a new starting quarterback.

Following the 31-27 victory over Jacksonville, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski stated that Joe Flacco would be the starting quarterback going forward, leading them in a close competition with the Steelers for an AFC Wild Card position down the stretch of the regular season.

Flacco, 38, joined the Browns last month when it was reported that Deshaun Watson had sustained a season-ending injury. He began on the practice squad and was named the starter two weeks later. In his first game action in over a year, Flacco passed for 254 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Flacco and the Browns bounced back this week. He threw for 311 yards, three touchdowns and an interception against the Jaguars this week in a game Cleveland won 31-27.

The Browns now hold the fifth seed in the AFC Playoff picture, one spot ahead of the sixth-place Steelers. These two AFC North rivals tied the season series at 1-1.
