Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Responds to Critics’ Injury Allegations
Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback, has fired back at critics who accused him of sitting out the playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Following the announcement of his trade request, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson let off some steam, replying to those who accused him of sitting out the playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals to shield himself for future financial gain.

“I don’t remember sitting out on my guys week one vs Jets. Jackson wrote, “To week 12 vs. Broncos.” “How come all of a sudden I sit out because of money in which I could’ve got hurt at anytime within that time frame when we know the Super Bowl been on my mind since April 2018.”

“Let’s get serious. I’d rather have a perfect PCL than go out there and play poorly, forcing myself to put my teammates in a bad circumstance; that’s selfish of me,” Jackson continued.

Jackson’s Twitter posts could be a release of frustrations; as he described in a previous line of tweets on Monday, there is clearly a sense that the Ravens are unwilling to give him his fair value, which is why he requested a trade.

The aforementioned PCL injury prompted Jackson to miss the final five regular-season games. Jackson threw for 2,242 yards and 17 touchdowns, with only seven interceptions, and ran for 764 yards and three scores.

Although Jackson went public with his wishes to depart Baltimore and even sent a thank you letter to the fans, it is worth noting that despite his official trade request being submitted in on March 2, the Ravens still appear hopeful that he’ll be with them come Week.

Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters at the NFL Owners Meetings that he still believes Jackson will stay in Baltimore.

“You have two sides that value each other here. “Lamar believes in us, and we believe in Lamar, and we know where we want to go next,” Harbaugh added. “It is a monetary issue. That can be found out or worked out. It’s just a matter of negotiation, and if you keep going, everything will work out in the end.
