JAN 24: CHIP RETURN? Will Chip Kelly be joining the NFL again? That’s the word circulating in Seattle as the team prepares to hire defensive coordinator Dan Quinn from Dallas as their head coach. Kelly, who led Oregon to tremendous success in the area as coach before joining the Eagles, would be the team’s offensive coordinator.

Quinn and Kelly, who both have four years as NFL head coaches with records of 26-21 with the Eagles from 2013 to 2015 and 2-14 with the 49ers in 2016, are being referred to as a “package deal.”

 

Interviewing for NFC East Region on January 10th, Halaby A front office staff member of the Philadelphia Eagles might be interviewing with a division opponent for a promotion.

Reporter Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reports that Alec Halaby, the assistant general manager of the Eagles, is interviewing to be the general manager of the Washington Commanders.

After 16 years of employment with the Eagles, Halaby was promoted to assistant general manager in 2022.

SAQUON FINED AND DEC 30 HURTS!

Rarely do you see two players who are stars in the same game receive massive fines from the NFL for tackling, even though both of them are offensive players!

That’s what occurred to Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts, who were both recently punished for their methods of tackling.

The instances occured in last week’s Philadelphia Eagles triumph over the New York Giants. There was Hurts with what the NFL thinks is a horsecollar tackle at the finish of his pick-6 interception …

DEC 17 COWBOYS LOSE VS. BILLS The Philadelphia Eagles will have a chance to recapture first place in the NFC East on Monday Night Football after the Dallas Cowboys lost 31-10 to the Buffalo Bills.

The Eagles would be the second overall seed in the NFC behind the 11-3 San Francisco 49ers—who defeated the Arizona Cardinals—if they defeated the Seattle Seahawks.

The Eagles and Seahawks are expected to kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET.

December 16: Eagles defeat Seattle 3 to 1. Following their final practice of the week on Saturday, the Philadelphia Eagles have ruled out three players ahead of their Monday night game at Lumen Field against the Seattle Seahawks.

Guard Cam Jurgens (pectoral), linebacker Zach Cunningham (knee), and cornerback Darius Slay (knee) will all be sidelined versus Seattle. Slay is anticipated to return before the regular season ends, according to news that was released on Saturday. Slay underwent arthroscopic knee surgery this week.

Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Eagles, and Josh Sweat, the defensive end, missed practice on Saturday due to illnesses, but there is no word on how their absence will affect their availability on Monday.
