CEDAR GROVE, New Jersey: On Monday night, Tommy DeVito was the main attraction.

The Giants might potentially make the playoffs after the rookie quarterback guided the team to three straight victories.

CBS New York visited Cedar Grove on Tuesday, the hometown of DeVito.

DeVito, also known as “Cutlets,” put on quite the show on Monday night, leading the Giants to a thrilling comeback victory over the visiting Green Bay Packers 24–22. He did it with plenty of Italian flare.

The stylish agent and DeVito family celebrated with style of their own.

It’s beneficial to business,” DeVito said.

Watch: After making it to the NFL, Tommy DeVito seems to be everywhere now
Famously, the rookie resides in Cedar Grove, just 20 minutes away from MetLife Stadium, with his parents. His early career was followed, according to neighbors.

“He was exercising while going to college and other things, and whenever I saw him, I would holler at him to keep going! Come on, come on!” stated Andy Borbonus.

It is therefore a source of pride for a neighborhood guy to be the face of the Giants.

“I mean, it could have been the child of anybody.” That’s the pride of it, I suppose. “He speaks for all of us,” remarked neighbor Rich Williams.

Tommy DeVito sandwiches are available at the Grasshopper Bar and Restaurant, which is located less than a mile from the DeVito family’s residence.

It does contain chicken cutlets, too.

The DeVitos are regulars, according to longtime server Alice McGuire.

“He’s a nice boy, and his parents are beautiful, down-to-earth people,” McGuire stated.

Fans of the Giants said over a chicken sandwich that Tommy Cutlets had been a breath of new air.

“The fan base is reviving with excitement. It’s excellent. Joe Brower from Nutley stated, “It’s good for football.”

And now that he’s a star on the squad and actually plays amazing football, it’s amazing. It’s fantastic,” said Borbonus.

“Eli,” after former Big Blue standout quarterback Eli Manning, is the name of Borbonus’ dog.

If he names his next dog Tommy, only time will tell.
