Atlanta Braves extend contract of manager Brian Snitker - ESPN -  richy.com.vn

The San Francisco Giants have lost seven of their past ten games, and if facing Atlanta’s strong offense and star Spencer Strider wasn’t a daunting enough task, they also had to contend with their manager’s absence.

Manager Gabe Kapler was ejected from San Francisco’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays in the fourth inning on Tuesday night. As a result, MLB today announced that Kapler will miss one game and pay a fine.

Alex Pavlovic, the Giants beat writer for NBC Sports – Bay Area, claims that Kapler was in the batting cages, which are attached to the dugout and are regarded as a restricted area for a player or coach who has been ejected.

In his sixth season as an MLB manager, the former 57th-round selection from 1995 is in his fourth season with the Giants. With San Francisco this season, he has a 64-57 record to go along with his 442-387 career record.

Kai Correa, 35, a bench coach and infield defense/baserunning teacher, will take over as interim manager for tonight’s Truist Park series opener. He has put together the following lineup for the first game of the series:

The Giants and Braves will play their first pitch at Truist Park at 7:20 PM ET, with Bally Sports Southeast providing the broadcast.
