Railers Own Best Start in ECHL History at 9-0-0 with 5-3 Win Over Admirals  | Worcester Railers

Ceci, 25, gets a contract with the Southern Professional Hockey League’s Railers after playing with the Evansville Thunderbolts. Ceci’s first professional season is this one.

With a 12-5-1 record and a 2.48 goals against average in 18 games with the Thunderbolts, the Ottawa, ON native ranks third in the SPHL with a.923 save percentage. Ceci has played in the ECHL twice already this season.

The 6’3″, 179-pound goalie has a record of 1-1 1-0, a 4.01 goals against average, and a.906 save percentage in his first two games with the Atlanta Gladiators. Cody Ceci, a defenceman with the Edmonton Oilers, has a younger brother named Cole.

Ceci played USports at York University for four years before turning pro. He finished 15-23-1 with a 3.57 goals against average and a.892 save percentage in 39 appearances with the Lions.

He played for the Oshawa Generals, Erie Otters, Hamilton Bulldogs, and Guelph Storm over the course of three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League. He finished with a 17-33-4 record in 63 games, a 4.08 goals against average, and a.882 save percentage.
