Premier League | Leicester's fairy tale ends as club relegated 7 years after famous title win; Everton survives - The Hindu

Following their respective relegations on the last day of the Premier League season, Leeds and Leicester will experience a summer of transition.

The Foxes defeated West Ham in their match, but their three points were meaningless because Everton defeated Bournemouth.

After a challenging season both on and off the field, Leeds, on the other hand, went down without a fight, losing 4-1 to Tottenham as Elland Road turned poisonous.

Particularly Leicester has a team that appears ready for the premier league, which accounts for their recent success.

Leeds less so, but they still have a number of players who will not be happy in the Championship and will look for better opportunities.

The important players at King Power Stadium are no different, and several are undoubtedly considering their future course of action.

A player’s departure is inevitable for those whose stock is rising, but some choose to demonstrate their dedication by sticking with a relegated team for at least a year.

We examine the men who will be trying to move on following their teams’ relegation from the premier league.

Maddison James
Maddison may end up in the annals of sports history as one of the greatest players to ever be demoted, but that is the scenario he finds himself in.

The demand for his inclusion was so great that earlier in the season, he was traveling to Qatar with England.

His key decision now is, what comes next? The top six teams will undoubtedly be vying for his signature, possibly at a reduced cost, since he is expected to be the most in-demand player for all the demoted teams.

Ironically, the most paid player in Leeds had his best season with the Whites the year they lost. Rodrigo, who was signed when Leeds returned to the premier league, has been erratic but really took off this season, even though his goals were insufficient to keep Leeds in the top flight.

The forward will get interest from both domestic and international teams, but it is best for all sides for him to go on.

Harvey Barnes
The dynamic star probably believed that his goal would help Leicester advance, but it was not meant to be.

Now that he’s been connected to a few major teams in the past, the man is probably thinking about his future with the Foxes, who can turn a profit on their academy graduate.
