The majority of people have a minimal chance of coming into contact with the coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the CDC.

The CDC advises adopting easy, daily precautions to prevent respiratory illnesses, such as COVID-19, from becoming contagious.

These include washing or disinfecting your hands properly and concealing your cough or sneeze. If you’re sick, stay at home and give your doctor a call.

In reaction to the coronavirus pandemic, the Southern Professional Hockey League announced on Sunday that its Board of Governors had unanimously decided to postpone the remainder of the 2019–2020 regular season and playoffs.

There are ten clubs in the SPHL, including the Knoxville Ice Bears. The Civic Coliseum is the home arena for the Ice Bears.

In a statement posted on the team’s website, Ice Bears general manager Mike Mike Murray said, “The crisis our world is currently enduring has weighed heavily on all of us, specifically the sports arena, and even more so the small, community driven teams like ours.”

“Our players and staff love nothing more than to feel the excitement of a boisterous, enthusiastic crowd in our arena; it would be heartbreaking to miss those moments.
