Remarkably, Shams Charania revealed that the San Antonio Spurs are one of the clubs interested in acquiring Dejounte Murray, who is now free agent following an unsuccessful season with the Atlanta Hawks.
With a 14–21 record, the Hawks want to improve and are thinking about making some adjustments, including a potential split with Murray, in order to get back into the race for the championship.
Remember that Dejounte was dealt to the Hawks in 2022 for three first-round draft selections, including picks in 2025 and 2027.
It will be crucial for the black and silver team to hold onto some of these picks, even though it is unclear what Atlanta would ask for in return for the former Spurs player.
It’s crucial to keep in mind that Dejounte, who has always shown his devotion to the team, enraged Spurs supporters with a slew of tweets following his departure.
In addition, he attacked the team structure and his relationship with Tony Parker, among other things, during an appearance on the Stephen Jackson podcast’s All The Smoke podcast.
