NEW YORK The NBA said today that Isaiah Stewart, a forward-center for the Detroit Pistons, will miss three games without pay.

Stewart started a violent fight with Drew Eubanks, a forward-center for the Phoenix Suns, on February 14 prior to the Pistons and Suns game at Footprint Center in Phoenix.

Throughout the altercation, Eubanks was punched and shoved by Stewart.

The next NBA regular-season game that Stewart is qualified to play and is physically capable of attending is likely to take place tonight at Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse between the Pistons and Indiana Pacers. Following that, Stewart will serve his suspension.

The NBA said on Thursday that center for the Detroit Pistons, Isaiah Stewart, has been suspended for three games following an argument with Phoenix Suns center Drew Eubanks before the game.

The Pistons’ game against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday will mark the start of Stewart’s ban. He’ll miss their games against the Orlando Magic and the New York Knicks, but he can play again against the Chicago Bulls on February 27.

After punching Eubanks in the face during a fight in the Footprint Center’s back tunnels on February 14, Stewart was cited and jailed for assault before being let go.

Stewart apparently took a swing that struck Eubanks in the mouth while the two were chest to chest.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the NBA looked over the video, which showed the confrontation.
