Dallas Cowboys Looking to Sign ‘$128 Million’ LB Jordyn Brooks: Smart Move…

Cowboys Named 'Good Fit' to Bring Home LB Jordyn Brooks - Heavy.com

Frisco – The Dallas Cowboys are being promoted as “an ideal destination” for linebacker Jordyn Brooks in NFL free agency. We are left to react politely by saying…

As soon as ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler gets one of these Saturday buzz tidbits about the Cowboys correct, we will give him full credit.

Fowler claims that Dallas is “a good fit” for Brooks, and we will give ESPN this: Brooks, who spent the first four seasons of his career with the Seattle Seahawks, is a strong player in a position that Dallas needs.

However, there is a suggestion that Brooks is a “$45 million player,” which we assume to imply $15 million APY…

and while the Cowboys may be in the market for linebacking help since Leighton Vander Esch’s career is in risk due to an injury, Dallas is not in that market.

The 6-0, 240-pound Brooks, 26, is a run-stopper, and last year, coming off knee surgery, the Texas Tech product and former first-round choice recorded a career-high 4.5 sacks in 2023, with eight total tackles for loss.

But this whole idea smells like an agent playing footsie with ESPN to boost the perceived value of a terrific player who, even if he earns $15 million per year, will not get it from the North Texas franchise.
