Duke Fans Hire Private Jets for Coach K's Last Final Four Game Against UNC - Bloomberg

Former Duke Blue Devil Jay Williams, who was commentating on an ESPN College Basketball broadcast, had an intriguing thing to say about the UNC basketball team.

As we’ve all seen, the transfer gateway can be extremely unpredictable.

Thousands of college basketball players have taken advantage of the one-time transfer rules, looking for better prospects elsewhere.

This new era of the transfer portal has also prompted previous players to reflect on their respective careers and where they may have ended up if the site had existed when they were playing.

Former Duke Blue Devil Jay Williams was put on the position when commentating on the Kansas vs. Oklahoma State game on Tuesday night, when Jon Sciambi asked if it would have affected Williams’ NCAA career.

You’ll want to hear Williams’ response, which may surprise you.

Williams went on to remark that if it were back then, he would have transferred to Georgetown to play under John Thompson. If it were today’s game, Williams said he would have left Durham to join the Blue Devils’ main opponents, the UNC basketball team.

“If you’re asking me today… this is a tough one because I don’t know if I’ll be allowed to go back home…” -Jason Williams

“Are you about to say North Carolina?!” – Jonathan Sciambi

“I just like how they play!” I like the fast-paced manner of play! They enable RJ Davis to leave!” – Jay Williams.
