The Spurs’ injury list no longer includes star rookie center Victor Wembanyama, a sign that he will be available when the club plays the Golden State Warriors at the Frost Bank Center on Monday.

Due to a right ankle sprain he sustained in a Thursday night loss at Houston, Wembanyama has missed the team’s last two games: a victory at Golden State on Saturday and a defeat at Sacramento on Thursday.

However, the Spurs’ Sunday afternoon injury report no longer included his name.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich stated on Saturday that he anticipated Wembanyama to return on Monday, so it was not shocking.

Popovich stated, “I believe that’s what we’re thinking right now.”

Devin Vassell, a guard for the Spurs, was also upgraded to probable after missing Saturday’s game due to an injured left hip. With a sprained left ankle, backup forward Cedi Osman is still sidelined.

The Spurs defeated the Warriors 126-113 on Saturday, their first game without Wembanyama this year. They were 0–7 before.

The Spurs will play a back-to-back set of games at the Frost Bank Center on Monday and Tuesday, hosting the Warriors and Houston Rockets.
