2022 NFL roster cuts: Patriots release 2 more players - Pats Pulpit

Another starting offensive lineman is leaving Alabama. Following the Rose Bowl loss, Seth McLaughlin committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes via the transfer site, following JC Latham’s NFL draft entry.

The Crimson Tide keeps suffering defeat after defeat. Caleb Downs, a rookie safety and All-American, accessed the transfer portal earlier on Wednesday.

Ohio State, who came in second in his recruitment, and Georgia, who recently hired Travaris Robinson, the former defensive backs coach at Alabama, have been closely associated with him.

Alabama will now have to go elsewhere for a starting left tackle. Kadyn Proctor, the rookie starter, has added his name to the transfer site.

As a true freshman, Proctor started every game for the Crimson Tide this season. Iowa, who placed second in his high school recruitment class, has been connected to him.

With Proctor and Latham gone, the Crimson Tide will be looking for bookend tackles to step in. Elijah Pritchett is one person who might be a suitable substitute.
