Blue Jackets Prospect Jordan Dumais Wins QMJHL MVP | 1st Ohio Battery

The Halifax Mooseheads’ young sensation, Jordan Dumais, has been suspended for five games for what the team is referring to as a “off-ice infraction.”

Late yesterday afternoon, reports began to circulate that Dumais had received a suspension.

According to the team’s press release, Dumais will miss the remainder of the regular season as well as one game of the team’s first-round playoff series.

The tweet below appears to confirm the allegations that Dumais had a DUI. A regrettable event for Dumais.

This season has been a bit of a crazy journey for Dumais. He suffered an injury during the preseason while playing for Columbus, which kept him out of action for a spell for Halifax.

Later in the year, while he was playing for Team Canada, he seemed to aggravate a hip issue, which led to the need for surgery to repair a hernia.

This season, he has 47 points and 16 goals in 21 games for Halifax. Early in the season, Dumais overtook Brandon Benedict, who had 303 points in 343 games, to become the Halifax Mooseheads’ all-time top scorer. In just 193 games, Dumais has 325 points.

Dumais hopes to make a strong push to make Columbus out of camp next season.
