Georgia recently gained its first commitment for the 2026 recruiting class as quarterback Jared Curtis committed to the Bulldogs this past Saturday.

Although Curtis is just a high school junior, he has already signed his first NIL deal since his commitment.

A company called Leaf Trading Cards introduced Curtis’ very own signed player card. The item is listed for $79.99 on Leaf Trading Cards’ website for fans to purchase.

Curtis isn’t the only highly-profiled high school recruit who has landed a deal with the company as 2025 quarterback Julian Lewis also reached a deal for his own card.

Because Curtis plays high school football in the state of Tennessee, he is allowed to get a head start on NIL.

The Tennessee Secondary School Atheltic Association recently joined this trend amongst other high school associations in December of 2023. The rule allows high school prospects to sign NIL deals before enrolling in college.

Curtis is rated as the number one quarterback and player in the state of Tennessee and the ninth-best player in the country, according to 247sports composite rankings.

The quarterback’s commitment came in the midst of some negative news for the Bulldogs on the recruiting trail as 2025 defensive lineman Justus Terry de-committed from Georgia to commit to USC this past weekend as well. Isaiah Gibson, another 2025 target for the Bulldogs, also committed to the Trojans this weekend.
