New England Patriots. Tom Brady’s iconic Patriots No. 12 jersey: Will Antonio Gibson inherit it?
Bill Belichick’s reputation as a tough head coach with a no-nonsense attitude is well known.
However, recent revelations from one of his former pupils shed new light on the temperament of the former New England Patriots head coach.
Chris Hogan began his NFL career in 2011 as an undrafted wide receiver. After being part of the practice squads of the 49ers, the Giants, and the Dolphins, he could finally made the Buffalo Bills’ main roster in 2012, where he remained until 2015.
It was precisely in 2016 when he landed in Belichick’sPatriots, where he stayed until 2018. The receiver, who retired in 2021, knows well the character and procedures of the former coach and implied that the players “feared for his life” with him at the team’s helm.
Belichick left New England this past January, after 24 years and six championships with the team. Jerod Mayo will take his place, with no experience in the position.
Belichick’s difficult temperament
Speaking on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” show, Hogan speculated that the players must be relieved by Belichick’s departure.
The former coach is famous for exposing his players in front of the entire team when they did not perform as he expected.
