Game 82 is finally here for the Sacramento Kings as they are set to take on the Portland Trail Blazers in a game that holds quite a bit of importance for the Western Conference standings.
The Kings currently sit in 9th place in the West, and are tied with the Golden State Warriors in 10th place.
With a win today and a Los Angeles Lakers loss, Sacramento would jump into 8th place and escape a “win or go home” matchup against Stephen Curry’s Warriors.
Sunday afternoon’s games will be the regular season finale for all 30 teams, so the standings will shake out once each matchup is completed.
The Kings will get an opportunity to capitalize on playing a weak Blazers team at home, though it’s been in these types of circumstances that Sacramento has struggled in throughout the year.
Looking at the injury report, the Kings are relatively healthy compared to a Blazers squad that is missing loads of players.
