Chris Livingston announces he will not return to Kentucky and will remain in the NBA draft.

Chris Livingston, a Kentucky forward, has announced that he will stay in the 2023 NBA Draft. This past season, the rookie appeared in 34 games and averaged 6.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

Many people at the very beginning of the season thought Livingston would be a one-and-done and would go pro after one season, but during the season there were potentially some talks of him returning for another year. Those talks quickly stopped after the season ended with some speculations including that he could transfer. Three weeks after the season ended for Kentucky, Livingston made an announcement that he would test the waters with a chance he could return.

Livingston could get drafted based on his potential and how well he played toward the end of his freshman season at Kentucky, but most draft boards have him listed as a second-rounder or could potentially not get drafted in some mock drafts.

Now with the announcement of Livingston staying in the NBA Draft, Kentucky only has seven scholarship players on the roster, due to Oscar Tshiebwe also staying in the NBA Draft and Antonio Reeves still evaluating his options.
