HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – The Huntsville Havoc franchise has some experience in competing for the Southern Pro Hockey Leagues Championship, the President’s Cup.
The last time the Havoc won a Championship was in 2019. Current Havoc Head Coach Stuart Stefan and Havoc Assistant Coach Tyler Piacentini were players on the Championship team.
“I think definitely in Huntsville and the SPHL the fan support that we have, I think the buzz around town is pretty amazing,” Stefan said. “I just think all of the different sports teams reaching out and supporting.
It’s a really good sports community, and we definitely have the community behind us. We definitely want to bring the championship home here.
Shopefully we have a nice little celebration right outside the building here next week, so, It’s a great community, they really support their sports teams, so hopefully we can get it done for them.”
The Havoc will face Peoria in Game One of the best of three series Thursday at 7PM at the Von Braun Center.
