West Virginia University men’s basketball head coach Darian DeVries looked to the state of Illinois once more to bolster his roster through Division-I transfers.

Former UIC guard Toby Okani announced his commitment to join WVU in a social media post Thursday morning. Okani spent two years at Duquesne before transferring to UIC for his junior and senior seasons.

A three-star recruit out of high school, the 6-foot-8, 210-pound Cushing Academy (Mass.) graduate was ranked as the No. 5 player in Massachusetts and the No. 29 player in New England by New England Recruiting Report.

He made 10 starts as a freshman and 15 starts as a sophomore at Duquesne where he averaged 4.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
At UIC, he averaged 11 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game over two seasons.

He is the fourth DI-transfer for WVU this offseason.
