The North Queensland Cowboys will look to bounce back after a brutal loss to the Sharks as they host defending champions Penrith at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

The Cowboys were smacked 42-6 by Cronulla last Sunday in a toothless display and coach Todd Payten will no doubt want to see a reaction from his side.

As for the Panthers, they go into the clash on the back of a win over the Wests Tigers as victory over North Queensland would move them level on points with the second-placed Sharks.

Penrith also welcome the return of superstar halfback Nathan Cleary from a hamstring injury, making the Cowboys’ task even tougher.

However, the Panthers will be without Moses Leota and Scott Sorensen due to shoulder and knee injuries respectively.
