Trent Bianco among five Collingwood players delisted after premiership success | 7NEWS

Collingwood have announced another four players will depart the club as they turn their attention to a busy off-season period.

With the dust settling on their brilliant grand final win over Brisbane last week, the Pies officially announced five delistings over the weekend.

Trey Ruscoe had already announced his departure with a lengthy social media post during the week, while Trent Bianco, Tom Wilson, Arlo Draper and Cooper Murley were the others to not be offered a new contract.

Bianco, 22, played a total of 23 games for the club, but managed only one this year.

The talented midfielder made a bright start to his career in 2021 with 12 senior games and played another 10 last year, including two finals.

Decision-making at this time of the year is always tough and we thank each of the players for their contribution to the Collingwood Football Club,” Magpies general manager of football Graham Wright said.

“Trent, Trey, Tom, Arlo and Cooper have all played an important role in this year’s success and that has not gone unrecognised. We thank them for their dedication to our football program.”

Collingwood could have another departure in the trade period with Taylor Adams exploring a stunning move to the Sydney Swans.

7NEWS understands the Swans are targeting Adams after his midfield minutes dropped significantly at the Magpies this season.

The 30-year-old, who missed out on the premiership after suffering a hamstring injury after the qualifying final, has one year remaining on his contract at Collingwood and is considering the approach.

Adams holds a close friendship with former Magpies ruckman Brodie Grundy who is headed to the Swans after being squeezed out of the ruck set-up at Melbourne despite four years remaining on his contract.
