The UCLA Bruins had many players exit the school and enter the transfer portal, along with a multitude of players declaring for the NFL Draft.
One such transfer portal player is former placekicker RJ Lopez, who has now revealed which school he will play for in 2024. Lopez has announced that he will be heading to kick for the Purdue Boilermakers.
Lopez was one of the Bruins standouts in 2023, securing a 54.5 FG%, 96.9 XP%, a long of 47 yards, and a total of 49 points.
While the Bruins will have been at a loss with Lopez transferring, they also managed to land former Cal placekicker Mateen Bhaghani.
Bhaghani has an impressive 88.9 FG%, 100 Xp%, a long of 43 yards, and 53 total points.
The Bruins will need some explosive playmakers as they are set to enter the Big Ten Conference in 2024.
Armed with new head coach DeShaun Foster, the team hopes to rebound and be counted among the teams in the NCAAF playoffs.
