The LSU football staff has lost a commitment from Top-150 overall prospect Cai Bates after the four-star cornerback revealed he will be reopening his recruitment on Monday.
Bates, one of the top pledges in Brian Kelly’s 2024 class, had been trending elsewhere over the last few months with the decision becoming public this afternoon.
The coveted defensive back took a trip to Tallahassee this past weekend after a visit with the Florida State Seminoles. Now, after reopening his recruitment just weeks until the Early Signing Period, Bates could be trending their way.
