Wolves youngster Theo Corbeanu is about to leave the club, with it being reported this morning that an agreement has been reached with Spanish side Granada…
Wanderers have had a few outgoings already this month, with Fabio Silva and Sasa Kalajdzic both departing on loan and Jonny Castro Otto cancelling his contract by mutual consent.
It looks as though another player will be heading for the exit on deadline day, with Theo Corbeanu now set to join Granada.
The Canada international spent the first half of the season on loan at Grasshoppers, but is now set for a new adventure.
Theo Corbeanu set to make permanent move to Granada
Fabrizio Romano is reporting this morning that Corbeanu, 21, is set to make a move to Spanish side Granada.
He writes on X: “Theo Corbeanu leaves Wolves and he’s on his way to medical as new Granada player. Permanent transfer agreed and now being finalised.”
Corbeanu joined Wolves in 2018 after leaving FC Toronto following an unsuccessful trial at Leicester City.
Corbeanu represented the clubs U16s and 18s, before joining up with the U23s in 2020.
The youngster made his first-team debut for Wolves back in the 2020/21 season, coming on as a substitute in a game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Corbeanu had a string of loan moves during his time at Wolves, playing for the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons, Blackpool, Arminia Bielefeld and Grasshoppers.
